The Boat
When you first think about buying a charter boat, there are a lot of factors to take into consideration:-
Cost, fuel, size, accommodation and so on. Also, what type of chartering will you be doing?
If you are the type of Skipper that specialises in taking out 'happy hookers', (you know the type, five minutes out of the harbour, "here we are lads"), then an 8/10 Knots - 35/40 feet boat is ideal. That is not what we are about.
We are more of what you might call 'specimen hunters'. We prefer pushing the envelope, finding out what's round the corner, in the next bay. Fish the wreck that has never been fished. Try for blue Shark and Porbeagle.
Our customer base will be a group of six or so anglers who want a 2/3/4 or 5 day angling holiday, to sample some of the fishing that is second to none in the UK.
So, the type of boat we have commissioned is, smaller, faster and very fuel efficient, making it cost effective. The Pro-Charter style boats fitted the bill, and the lads down in Cornwall where it is being built, could not be more helpfull. Nothing we ask of them is too much trouble.
